STAGE 2022

STAGE acts as a stage for presenting new names of art & science. The exhibition presented research at the intersection of art, science & technology: interactive installations, VR, audiovisual environments, bio-art and neuro-art projects. The artists reflect on the relationship between eras and the non-linear nature of time, experiment with form and redefine the boundaries of art.

Evolution

The exhibition “NII ParaNature” symbolized the process of transformation of reality, becoming a place where science and art intertwine, creating new meanings. It is a space where scientific achievements acquire aesthetic value, and art becomes a method of research with elements of bureaucracy. The project is the result of cooperation between the Art & Science Center of ITMO University, the Masters Digital platform and Marina Gisich Projects, which join efforts to create a new kind of research art.

Optomicelium

The Optomycelium project is a unique platform for long-term collaboration between scientists and artists. Its main goal is to popularize scientific activity and strengthen trust in technology through the creation of interdisciplinary art & science projects. As part of the project, scientists presented their research for artistic interpretation. The project began with an open competition for scientists, following which teams were formed with the participation of artists. The results of their joint work were presented at the exhibition. The Optomycelium project contributed to the development of dialogue between science, art and society, creating the ground for innovative ideas and creativity.
