It's Time for the Stone Made an Effort to Flower

The online exhibition “It's Time for the Stone Made an Effort to Flower” presents digital works by young artists who were students or participants of special courses of Art & Science MA. The name of the exhibition is inspired by a poem by Paul Celan. Exhibition explores the transition of objects into digital reality, where they acquire independent development. The virtual ecosystem blurs the boundaries between alive and non-living, between static and dynamic, allowing mistakes and glitches to become part of the art.

Non-Parallel Straight Lines

The exhibition “Non-Parallel Straight Lines” presented the projects of the 1st year students of the ITMO Art & Science Master's programme.
The title of the show emphasizes the idea of symbiosis of art, science and technology. The exhibition features more than 20 projects, each of which was created by artists specifically as part of their work in the workshops of Dmitry Morozov (::vtol::), Elena Nikonole and Ippolit Markelov.
In their projects, the artists offer to dive into the space of artificial myth, watch mockumentary with elements of neuroaesthetics, learn to manage time, appreciate the appeal of immortality and more.

un_unsubscribe

The “un_unsubscribe” pavilion was a part of WRONG Biennale. It unfolded around the idea of subscription-based art. Artists used newsletters as an art form to critique the commercialization of platforms and the art market. Website acted as a hub for exploring the performative potential of the Internet.
Moving beyond traditional spatial boundaries, it explores affective intensities, and regimes of digital aesthetics, from poor images to file mobility. At the heart of all projects was the question of how art can incorporate service logic.
