currant

Andrei Andreev's solo exhibition opened as part of the “Winzavod Days at Masters” program.
“currant” is a project that turns to the study of figurative handwriting of poster art and slogan. In his paintings, the artist refuses to directly “affirm” the slogan and constructs not a meaning, but a “situation”, which he then destroys with an act of “wrinkling”. The exhibition presented a series of new paintings, as well as a total installation combining sound-art, found-footage and work with textiles.

Impulse

An independent curatorial project presented as part of the First Curatorial Forum in St. Petersburg. The exhibition serves as a research platform for young representatives of the St. Petersburg art scene, challenging the classical perception of the city as the cradle of “poor art.” The project’s goal is to support emerging artists and bring visibility to their work within the context of a major professional event.
Impulse brings together works by young artists who shift the perspective on contemporary St. Petersburg art. Rejecting curatorial subjectivity, the exhibition presents installations created without formal constraints, each acting as a direct statement of the present. The featured projects explore the deep connection between materiality and time, offering a nonlinear perception of temporality that shapes the way we experience art.
The exhibition provides multiple viewpoints on contemporary art, featuring works by graduates of leading art schools in St. Petersburg and capturing the significance of the present moment in its uniqueness.
