Today, it is difficult to imagine our lives outside the digital dimension—this is where we work and relax, build relationships and escape from the outside world, store memories, and cultivate our desires.
The digital dimension is tightly woven into the fabric of our lives, forming the basis of our everyday existence. At the same time, digital technologies do not simply duplicate or expand physical reality, but deeply penetrate it, forming new modes of existence in the form of digital objects. Every day, we deal with entities that cannot be reduced to either abstract data or material forms. Philosopher Yuk Hui suggests thinking of digital objects as a special class of being, defined by a network of relationships—with other objects, as well as with the conditions of storage, access, and transformation.
Similar to living systems, digital objects develop over time, evolve, and ultimately form a digital ecosystem that is as complex and changeable as the physical one. The projects of young artists explore hybrid environments where the virtual and the material merge to form new life forms; they reflect on the future of social interaction and the transformation of the body, memory, and emotions.
The exhibition includes works that explore new forms of interaction between the natural and the digital. The authors address themes of memory and the digital imaginary, the transformation of matter and the evolution of digital ecosystems, the digital footprint, and reflect on the relationship between humans and technology. Through a variety of media — from video works and digital animations to 3D objects — the projects reveal how technologies are becoming not only tools but also active participants in a new environment in which humans, algorithms, plants, crystals, and virtual entities form a single interconnected landscape.
